Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude to God today as the fulfillment of a dream He placed in my spirit more than thirty years ago is becoming a reality. When we signed the contract for the purchase of the building that will house the Jerusalem World Center—within walking distance of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem—we were reminded once again that every promise from God is certain and sure, no matter how long we have to wait for it.
Abraham waited for the promised birth of Isaac for some twenty-five years, but in God’s perfect timing, the son of promise was born. When I first met with Prime Minister Menachem Begin more than thirty years ago and we agreed to work together to build a bridge between Christians and Jews, part of that dream was to have a permanent presence in the Holy City.
Now that the contract has been signed, we are ready to move forward with the biggest step of faith in my 64 years. We’re going to show you the miracle building that God has provided, tell you about the plans we have to use this beautiful facility to minister to the Jewish people and to you, and ask for your help in completing the final step to reaching this prophetic dream. We believe you will be as thrilled and excited as we are as you see what God is bringing to pass…and how greatly needed this new project is right now.
The threats facing Israel continue to increase. The information I received on my two recent trips to Jerusalem confirms the grim reality of Iran’s nuclear weapons program. The mullahs of Tehran are fully committed to acquiring the means to carry out their often-stated goal of seeing Israel
“wiped off the map.” At the same time, nations like Great Britain and America that long have stood with Israel are now drawing away from support for the Jewish state for the sake of the political and economic interests of their leaders.
There is no doubt in our minds that God has brought you into partnership with us for this Esther moment for the survival of Israel. We have an opportunity today to do something powerful and prophetic—something that will shape the future of the world. We ask that you prayerfully consider how God would have you be involved in helping create the Jerusalem World Center. Time is growing short, and we must act now before it is too late.
Your ambassadors to Jerusalem,
Mike and Carolyn Evans
