President Bush:
Make a stand for Jerusalem!

In 1995, Congress passed a law recognizing Jerusalem as capitol of Israel. Since then, each President has signed a waiver to postpone the move of the US Embassy to Jerusalem because of the threat to national security. We must urge President Bush to make a stand against terror and recognize Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel. Fill in the form below to add your signature to our letter urging President Bush to allow the Jerusalem Embassy Act to pass into law.

Jerusalem Embassy Act Letter to President Bush

To United States President, George W. Bush

WHEREAS: Bible-believing Americans believe there exists an ironclad bond between the State of Israel and the United States, and we believe that bond to be a moral imperative.

WHEREAS: We agree with the sentiments of President Ronald Reagan: “That a secure, strong Israel is in America’s self-interest. Israel is a major strategic asset to America. Israel is not a client, but a very reliable friend. To weaken Israel is to destabilize the Middle East and risk the peace of the world, for the road to world peace runs through the Middle East.”

WHEREAS: History records that God deals with nations in accord with how these nations deal with Israel. We rejoice that here in America, for 228 years, we have been committed to the Jewish people. The Jewish people have found refuge here; they have found a people who love them; and we can take pride in saying that Israel is not an exclusively Jewish issue.

WHEREAS: Bible-believing Americans consider the support of Israel a biblical mandate. Regardless of contrary opinion, we do not believe Israel has to offer an excuse for its existence. Israel lives today as a right; a right that has been hallowed by the Bible, by history, by sacrifice, by prayer, and by the yearning for peace!

WHEREAS: Mr. President, you will soon be asked to sign yet another waiver on the Jerusalem Embassy Act. I implore you to refuse to sign the document, and to allow the American Embassy to be moved to Jerusalem – where it belongs.

WHEREAS: Mr. President, when Harry Truman recognized the State of Israel, the Chief Rabbi came to him and said, “God put you in your mother’s womb so you would be the instrument to bring about Israel’s rebirth after two thousand years.”

WHEREAS: Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel for 3300 according to the Bible; and whereas, God Almighty said, “But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there” (II Chronicles 6:6); and whereas, according to prophecy, the Messiah will return to a Jerusalem in the hands of the Jewish people;

BE IT RESOLVED: We believe that God has put you in your mother’s womb to bring about the world’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This will bring God’s blessing upon you and our beloved nation. “I will bless them that bless thee…” (Genesis 12:3)

We believe one of the reasons America has been blessed over the years is because we have stood with Israel. And so, for biblical reasons first and foremost, we support the State of Israel.

America has a strong interest in the Middle East. We affirm our belief that the nation of Israel is the key to that interest because of our common bonds, our common values, our common belief in social justice, and the godly principles on which our two countries were founded.

Jerusalem was David’s capital, God’s earthly habitation, and the heart and soul of Israel. It should be Israel’s capital, and the location of the American Embassy in Israel should be in Jerusalem.

Mr. President, please do not sign another waiver. Allow the Jewish people to celebrate Jerusalem as the capital of the Nation of Israel.
