WHY PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM?
- Revival in the nation of Israel and the world. The church was birthed in the Book of Acts. During the message preached by Peter, he prophesied in Acts 3:19 that a time of refreshing would come from the presence of the Lord, and then Jesus Christ would return. That time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord (revival) will impact the nation of Israel;Arab and Jew alike (reconciliation), and will usher in the return of our Lord.
- Jesus, in Luke 21:24, prophesied the destruction, dispersion, domination and the deliverance of Jerusalem. All four prophecies have transpired.
Praying for Jerusalem is simple obedience to the Great Commission, The Great Commission proclaims that we would be a witness unto Him in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Praying for peace and protection for those who are experiencing the same type of terror that was experienced in America on September 11th is a way to be a witness
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is sharing God's love and compassion. Matthew 15:16: "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
